Sophia Marina Art
Sophia Marina is a Panamanian - American studio painter and is Midwest based. She completed her undergraduate degree at the Kansas City Art Institute in 2021 and is currently pursuing travel alongside her painting practice. Beyond her passion for studio painting Sophia is expanding her creative practice by exploring mural painting, photography, and clothing modification. She believes that creative thought and exploration are keys to present living.
About the Artist
In questioning moments of humanness Sophia's conceptions aim to reach the viewer in an intimate way. Sophia imposes psychological environments where the creative subject communicates through its position in its ecological climate. Duality and climate are coexisting tools enforced peculiarly to elude to a sense of balance within contrast. Ambiguous truths and falsehoods are found as thematic suggestive reflections of humanness associating each the artist, viewer, and painting.
